  • Brief overview of Web 2.0 and history of tech in education
  • Assessment modes and methods clarified

So What?

  • Goals and aims for this module (in addition to module LOs):
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of motivating factors and barriers to engaging with self-directed TEL resources for UoE nursing students
  • Develop a critical understanding of TEL delivery modes and methods, grounded in evidence-based pedagogy
  • Develop a strategy for delivering effective and engaging TEL learning resources to support litearacy, digital literacy, academic study and numeracy skills for the UoE BSc pre-registration nursing programmes

Now What?

  • Set up blog – write post with initial reflections.
  • Conduct reading around Web 2.0 – what are they?
  • Critical review of an article about blended learning (likely to be McCutcheon et al (2014) ‘A systematic review evaluating the impact of online or blended learning vs. face-to-face learning of clinical skills in undergraduate nurse education’ In: Journal of Advanced Nursing 71(2): 225 – 270 )
